Itinerary:
Monday/Sunday. AUCKLAND - PAPEETE
Depart Auckland Monday morning with Air New Zealand. Cross the dateline and arrive Papeete sunday afternoon. Transfer to the beautiful Le Meridien Resort.
Monday PAPEETE (B)
Enjoy our included circle island tour including remote villages,and beaches and the Paul Gaugin museum. Also site of the sacred Marae from which Tupaia joined Captain Cook on his voyage to New Zealand. Lunch at a local restaurant included.
Tuesday - Wednesday PAPEETE
Two days to relax or explore at your leisure. The colourful Haeva Festival is scheduled with participants from all the islands.
Thursday PAPEETE DEPART (B)
Free morning to enjoy the Bastille Day parade if you wish before transferring to "Wind Spirit". Settle in and sail at 6pm. Enjoy your first dinner as we cruise to Moorea.
Friday MOOREA (BLD)
Arrive Mooreea 6am and sail at 5pm. Optional tours available - extra expense. Take a photography tour with a professional photographer, hike the majestic Three Coconut Trail. Visit dolphins in their natural habitat or enjoy swimming and/or kayaking from the "WInd Spirit's" watersports platform.
Saturday RAIATEA (BLD)
Arrive 8am - Sail 6am sunday. Full day to explore Raiatea known as the sacred island and renowned as the first island settled in French Polynesia over 1,000 years ago and from which Maori are reputed to have started their migration to New Zealand some 800 years ago.
Tour included on escorted departure only covering the mountains, villages and history, including the first royal marae of Polynesia.
Sunday. MOTU MAHAEA (TAHAA) (BLD)
Arrive 8am - sail 5pm A short cruise across the lagoon brings you to Tahaa where you will spend the day on a private island complete with white sand beaches and swaying palm trees. Enjoy a barbecue lunch and tropical drinks ashore. Optional tour of the Vanilla Plantations and sacred sites of the island.
Monday BORA BORA (BLD)
Arrive 9.00am. Sail 9pm tuesday Two full days to enjoy one of the most beautiful and most photographed islands in the world. Optional tours ashore and time to swim and snorkel or explore some of the tiny islands in the lagoon.
Tuesday BORA BORA (BLD)
Explore the island further or relax on board and admire the magnificent spectacle of the island. Full use of water sports equipment available. Sail at 9pm.
Wednesday HUAHINE (BLD)
Arrive 7am - sail 5pm Optional tour of the volcanic "Garden of Eden" including the tortured landscapes, lush forests, villages, ancient temples, and sacred lake of the ancient wizard kings.
Thursday PAPEETE (B)
Arrive 7am. Disembark after breakfast. Stay on in Tahiti or use your time to shop. Next flight back to Auckland departs 2.35am Friday morning arriving Auckland 6.30am saturday morning). Dayroom at a hotel in Papeete or at Le Meridien provided for group departure only
