Day 1. Friday. AUCKLAND ARRIVE
Arrive Auckland and you will be transferred to your accommodation at Rendezvous Hotel or similar. Arrivals before 3pm receive a complimentary one hour tour of introduction to Auckland City including the summit of Mt Eden for a panoramic view over the city, Domain and Rose gardens, Tamaki Waterfront Drive, Mission Bay, City and University areas and Albert Park.

Day 2. Saturday CAPE REINGA AND BAY OF ISLANDS (BLD)
Transfer to the airport to meet your crew and fly north over Auckland city, the Waitakere ranges and follow the West Coast north over the Kaipara Harbour, Waipoua Kauri forest, and Hokianga Harbour to land at Kaitaia where we join our special coach for a visit to the kauri fields, Kauri Kingdom, and Ninety Mile beach befire rejoining our aircraft. Fly the length of Ninety Mile beach and overfly Cape Maria van Diemen, Cape Reinga, and North cape. See the Three Kings Islands and meeting of the Tasman Sea and Pacific Ocean before flying down the East Coast over Mangonui harbour, and the Bay of Islands to land at Keri Keri airport. Visit historic Keri Keri, and the Waitangi treaty House where the Treaty of Friendship between Maori and the British Government was signed in 1840 and see the great war canoe. Overnight in the Bay of Islands

Day 3. Sunday. BAY OF ISLANDS - SCENIC FLYING - ROTORUA (BLD)
Enjoy a cruise around the Bay of Islands including Cape Brett and passing through the 'Hole in the Rock' (weather permitting) and stopover on Urupukapuka Island. Reboard your aircraft to fly over the Bay and around Cape Brett before following the East Coast south. Overfly the city of Whangarei plus the Hen and Chickens and Great Barrier islands, Coromandel, Peninsula, White Island, and the lakes, mountains, and thermal areas of the Rotorua District including Mt Tarawera which erupted in a massive volcanic eruption in 1886. We land late afternoon and transfer to the Novotel Lakeside Hotel. Dinner at a first class restaurant this evening.

Day 4. Monday. ROTORUA (BLD)
We tour the gardens and lakefront including a visit to the Ohinemutu Maori Village and St Faiths Church. Also visit Te Puia New Zealand Maori Arts and Crafts centre and Whakarewarewa thermal area with its steaming geysers and boiling mud pools. Enjoy the Agrodome farm show and tour the farm to meet the animals, and visit the excellent Rotorua Museum. You have time to explore Rotorua at your leisure, try trout fishing on the lake, or relax in the soothing thermal waters of the Polynesian spa - all these activities are extra expense. This evening return to the New Zealand Maori Arts and Crafts centre for an introduction to Maori culture at a concert and hangi steam cooked dinner.

Day 5. Tuesday. ROTORUA - NAPIER - WELLINGTON (BLD)
Fly south over vast pine forests and Lake Taupo, New Zealands largest lake. Circuit the active volcanoes of the central North Island's Tongariro National Park and continue to Napier - Art Deco capital of New Zealand - to land. A local guide will join us here to introduce us to the area and lunch at the famed Mission winery before flying south to Wellington, the capital city. Sightseeing includes a visit to the summit of Mt Victoria for a panoramic view over the city, part of the beautiful marine drive, Oriental Bay, city areas, Parliament buildings and the Beehive, Te Papa museum of New Zealand, and a ride on the cable car to the Botanic and Rose gardens. Overnight at the James Cook Grand Chancellor or Holiday Inn Hotels.

Day 6. Wednesday. WELLINGTON - CHRISTCHURCH. (BLD)
Transfer to the airport and fly across Cook Strait and down the Kaikoura Coast to Christchurch. Sightseeing in the 'garden city' includes the botanical gardens, museum, Arts Centre, Sumner Beach and Port Hills. Late afternoon we continue down the coast to Dunedin and transfer to accommodation at Southern Crosss Hotel or similar.

Day 7. Thursday CHRISTCHURCH - DUNEDIN - TAIERI GORGE RAILWAY - QUEENSTOWN (BLD)
Tour the 'Scottish' city of the south and the Otago Peninsula including a visit to the Albatross colony and a 4wd drive excursion across the farm to the penguin colony at the beach. Board the privately operated "Taieri Gorge Railway" for the scenic ride through rugged central Otago scenery to Pukerangi. Continue by coach to Queenstown, New Zealand's most popular resort. Accommodation at Millennium Hotel or similar.

Day 8. Friday. QUEENSTOWN - STEWART ISLAND AND FIORDLAND OVERFLIGHT (BLD)
This morning fly south over Stewart Island and Invercargill. Highlight of the day will be the scenic flying around the coast, over the mountains, and into the Fjords of the magnificent Fiordland National Park. See Puysegur Point at the South West corner of New Zealand, Chalky and Dusky Sounds, Resolution Island where Captain Cook camped, and learn the history of exploration in the area. Head north now over Doubtful and Milford Sounds and return to Queenstown late morning.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a highlight flying day and we are determined to give you the best opportunity possible to experience the beauty of Fiordland in safety and comfort. Your itinerary will be determined by your captain. If the weather is not conducive to flightseeing today we will do it tomorrow morning.

This afternoon visit the historic gold mining centre of Arrowtown and the Coronet Peak lookout for a panoramic view over the area. You have free time to explore or relax as you wish. There are many optional tours. For an adrenalin buzz try Bunjy Jumping, jet boat ride, tandem parachute, etc. This evening we cruise across Lake Wakatipu on the historic steamer "Earnslaw" to Walter Peak sheep station for farm activities and dinner at the Colonels restaurant.

Day 9. Saturday QUEENSTOWN - MOUNT COOK OVERFLIGHT - AUCKLAND (BLD)

Fly north over Lake Wanaka and continue over Mt Aspiring and along the West coast and the backbone of the Southern Alps and Franz Josef and Fox Glaciers and Mt Cook, New Zealand's highest mountain. Continue north over Hokitika, Greymouth, and Westport, then around Cape Farewell and over the Abel Tasman National Park to land at Nelson for lunch and a short tour of some of the craft areas for which it is famous. Back in the air we cross the Marlborough Sounds and see Durville Island then cross Cook Strait, Kapiti Island, circuit Mt Taranaki (weather permitting) and New Plymouth before following the coast over Kawhia, Raglan, and Manukau Harbours back to Auckland. Transfer back to the Rendezvous Hotel.

Day 10. Sunday AUCKLAND DEPART (B)
The day is free until we transfer you to the airport for departure.

1. The itinerary given is our optimum. Your safety and comfort are paramount however and the actual route flown on each day will be chosen by your pilots to maximise your sightseeing value within the prevailing weather conditions. Some aerial sightseing may not be possible owing to weather conditions and no refund is available in such cases.

2. All flights are operated by specialliy chartered twin engine aircraft flown by two experienced pilots. Size of aircraft will depend on numbers in the group ranging from a Partenavia, Piper Navajo or Chieftain to Fokker Friendship or Dash 8. We will use high wing aircraft wherever possible to maximise your sightseeing opportunities. For groups of 15 or more we will have an inflight attendant and tour director on board as well. A minimum of 4 passengers are required to operate these tours. For 2-3 passengers we can offer a twin engine Piper Seneca (low wing), or Partenavia (high wing) with one pilot for $11,900 2 per room $12,800 single room
